C'tee OKs Private Memorial Days for Families of Fallen

The Knesset Labor, Welfare and Health Committee approved for its final readings, Monday, a bill by Member of Knesset Reuven Rivlin (Likud Beytenu) that would require employers to allow relatives of fallen security personnel to use a vacation day to mark the anniversary of their falling.

Committe Chairman Haim Katz said he hoped that the measure would become Rivlin's 50th and final bill to become law in anticipation of the former Knesset speaker being elected president on June 10th.
