Hamas-Fatah C'tee Will Be in Charge of PA Security
Palestinian Authority security issues will no longer be under the purview of the minister for internal affairs, according to a Monday report by Maariv/NRG. Mustafa Bargouti, a member of the committee that coordinates the Fatah-Hamas reconciliation, told the newspaper and its Website that in the new unity government, they will be controlled by the intended prime minister, Rami Hamdallah, and a joint Fatah-Hamas security committee. The introduction of Hamas could put security coordination between the PA and Israel in jeopardy.
