Video Declaration by Detainee in Brussels Attack

A 29-year-old Frenchman arrested over May 24th's deadly shootings in a Brussels Jewish museum has claimed responsibility in a video, according to a French prosecutor cited Sunday by Agence France PresseMehdi Nemmouche filmed a short video in which he admitted he had carried out the attack and also showed the arms he used, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins told a news conference.

Molins also said that Nemmouche had spent over a year in Syria. That information supports theories that Western participants in the Syrian civil war are returning to their countries of origin with knowledge of terror tactics used in the fighting.
