Ben-Gurion Passenger Traffic Up in May

About 1.3 million passengers went through Ben-Gurion International Airport near Tel Aviv during the month of May, according to figures released on Sunday by the Airport Authority. That marked an increase of 14 percent from 2013.

An estimated 212,000 passengers are expected to use the facility via 1,700 flights this week because of Wednesday's Shavu'ot holiday, up 30 percent from last year. The five most popular destinations for the holiday are Turkey, Italy, Russia, the United States and Greece.
