Sgt S., one of the two Border Police officers who apprehended an Arab terrorist wearing an explosive belt at the Tapuach Junction in Samaria, recalled what happened in a conversation with his superiors on Friday afternoon.
"When I recognized the terrorist approaching the checkpoint suspiciously, I had a feeling that this was an unusual incident. We called on him to stop and take off the jacket, and then I recognized the black box stuck to his stomach and immediately realized it was a suicide bomber. No doubt a major disaster was averted, and the officers are always prepared for these types of situations."
