Population Registration Appeals Court to Open Sunday

An appeals court addressing the Law of Entry to Israel will start operating on Sunday under an amendment to the 1952 statute. The court will deal in appeals of decisions by the Interior Minister and the Interior Ministry's Population and Immigration Authority regarding citizenship, residency, entering or leaving the country and non-resident permission to stay.

The court is the first of its kind in Israel and is intended to make the finalizing of decisions more efficient.
