Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,256.04, down .32 percent from Wednesday's close, while the TA 100 declined .36 percent to 1,256.99, including a drop of .28 percent to 1,343.42 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,069.32, down .17 percent.
Leading the gainers was the bank index, which rose .35 percent to 1,324.95 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,278.61, up .19 percent, reflecting a loss of .38 percent to 1,506.09 by the insurance issues. The real-estate stocks closed at 388.98, down .29 percent, and the biomed index fell .47 percent to 941.37, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 340.95, down .56 percent. The oil and natural-gas stocks fell .55 percent to 1,356.15 and the communications stocks closed at 803.21, down 1.21 percent as Bezeq lost 1.9 percent following its latest financial report.
