Erekat Blames Israeli Actions for Failure of Talks

Chief negotiator Saeb Erekat of the Palestinian Authority (PA) marked a month since the end of talks with Israel, Thursday, by blaming the Jewish state for the downfall of those negotiations. Meeting with envoy Robert Serry of the United Nations and the chief executive officers of the British and Finnish foreign ministries, Dr. Erekat said that PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas made every effort for the success of the United States-mediated talks, but during the last nine months of those talks, there was a litany of Israeli actions designed to topple the talks.
