President Shim'on Peres held a working meeting, Thursday, with President Ricardo Martinelli of Panama. At the outset of the meeting, Peres cited Panama for being a true friend of Israel, thanking the Central American nation for its support at all times. Calling Panama advanced in technology and science, he said he would be happy to deepen long-term agreements on cooperation.
Martinelli stressed that all his efforts for Israel stemmed from the full belief that it was the correct and moral thing to do. He pledged his continuing support as a statesman and as a private individual.
