'I’d Switch Places with Barabi to Bring My Family Back'

Rudy Yegodayev, bereaved son and brother of two of Shushan Barabi’s hit-and-run victims, is fuming at the sentence the convict received from the court. Yegodayev said, “I would switch places with him if that would bring my mother and sister back; I would spend ten (sic) years in prison.”

Barabi was sentenced to eleven years in prison as part of a plea bargain for causing the deaths of three women in August of 2012 in a hit-and-run accident. Barabi was also ordered to compensate the victims’ families with 150 thousand shekels.
