Another Suspect Arraigned in Ashdod Port Corruption Case

A Petach Tikva courthouse arraigned the owner and CEO of the company suspected of bribery, extortion, fraud and money laundering with respect to the ongoing Ashdod Port corruption case. The suspect will remain in custody for an additional seven days.

The suspect’s attorney, Yarom Halevy, claimed in court that it wasn’t right that his client remain behind bars while other suspects were released from custody. The courts did allow the suspect’s name to be published, but his attorney asked that publication be delayed pending an appeal.
