Knesset to Dedicate 'Jerusalem Unification Room'

The Knesset has scheduled a ceremony for Tuesday afternoon to dedicate a storeroom next to the Knesset building's Sprintzek Hall, which became a shelter and meeting place for the cabinet during the Six Day War, where it was decided to reunite Jerusalem after slightly more than 19 years of Jordanian occupation in what is now called the eastern half of the city.

The "Jerusalem Unification Room", as it will now be known, has been outfitted with recently-discovered pictures from the time as part of an effort to renovate and restore the room to the way it was. Its location was pointed out by Yehiel Kadishai, the surviving person from that period, shortly before his recent passing.
