Jewish Home Team Gets Apology and Delivery to Yesha

The case for applying Israeli law in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) was illustrated about two months ago, when a consumer in the Judean community of Kiryat Arba' ordered a sofa from the Beitili chain and was told that delivery to his home would not be a problem despite the location. He had to turn to the public inquiries team of the Jewish Home party about a month later, after he was told that the location was a problem.

The Jewish Home's Shlomit Eyal, who dealt with the case, told Arutz Sheva that she got negative responses to phone calls, but a positive response from a letter to the head of Beitili, who cited an external delivery company for the problem, apologized, and made it clear to his employees that Beitili would deliver everywhere in the country. Eyal said the lack of Israeli law beyond the 1949 Armistice Line made for discrimination against consumers that live there.
