Shekel, Dollars Up - Euro, Yen, Pound Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .04 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.49, up .086 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro declined .266 percent to 4.7533 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.88 shekels, down .041 percent, while 100 Japanese yen declined .119 percent to NIS 3.4278. The Canadian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.2014, up .172 percent, while its Australian counterpart rose .016 percent to 3.2209 shekels and the South African rand was set at .3375 shekels, up .536.
