Amsterdam to Compensate Jews for Holocaust Tax Bills

The city of Amsterdam announced, Thursday, that it will compensate hundreds of Jews who were asked to pay taxes and fines on bills that were not paid during the Holocaust era, when they fled or were expelled from their homes. The payout will come to 820,000 Euros ($1.1 million).

The municipality said it would do an in-depth study of the matter.
