Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,248.73, down .04 percent, while the TA 100 slipped .05 percent to 1,251.18, despite a gain of a tenth of a percent to 1,389.31 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,046.92, down .36 percent.
Worst hit was the insurance index, which slumped 1.05 percent to 1,507.20 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,270.00, down .89 percent, including a drop of .28 percent to 1,318.38. by the bank issues. The biomed stocks stood at 919.08, down .99 percent, while the rest of the technology index declined .24 percent to 336.13. The real-estate issues closed at 386.27, down .92 percent, while the oil and natural-gas stocks lost .16 percent to 1,371.10 and the communications index stood at 800.59, down .06 percent.
