Shekel, Dollars Down - Euro, Yen, Pound Up

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .313 percent, Friday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.461, up .174 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .629 percent to 4.7479 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.8148 shekels, up .463 percent, while 100 Japanese yen advanced .567 percent to NIS 3.4081. The Canadian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.1815, up .123 percent, while its Australian counterpart edged up .043 percent to 3.2358 shekels and the South African rand was set at .3331 shekels, down .269 percent.
