Obama Instructs Placement of Sanctions on African Authorities

US President Barack Obama instructed that sanctions be placed on five senior members of the Central African Republic, claiming that they are inciting violence in the country.

White House Spokesperson Jay Carney said that the sanctions send a clear message, that the US will not allow those responsible for violence to evade justice.
