Holyland Developer Gets 5 Years

The Tel Aviv District Court sentenced Hillel Charney, the entrepreneur behind Jerusalem's Holyland real-estate development, to five years in prison on his conviction for his part in the bribing of officials that led the development to be approved after it appeared headed for rejection.

Three and a half of those years stand to be served with the others suspended during a probation period.
