Anti-Arab, Anti-Pope Graffiti near Northern IDF Base

Military and civilian police are investigating the use of a marker to write graffiti against Arabs and Pope Francis on a vehicle in the area of Camp 80, an Israel Defense Forces training base next to Pardes Hana-Karkur, about two thirds of the way from Tel Aviv to Haifa. Authorities are looking at the possibility that soldiers are involved.

Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch condemned nationalist graffiti and other vandalism during a visit to a number of northern sites were the vandalism has taken place.
