C'tee Recommends Elkin for Foreign Affairs Chair

The Knesset House Committee recommended, Monday, that Deputy Foreign Minister Ze'ev Elkin serve as chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee until January 1st, when fellow Member of Knesset Yariv Levin will serve most of the time remaining in the current government's term, to be succeeded by Elkin.

Levin said that Likud Beytenu's Tzahi Hanegbi will take Elkin's place as deputy foreign minister and Yesh Atid will receive another deputy minister portfolio. He refused to say if the portfolio would be that of deputy defense minister and if it would be at the expense of Likud Beytenu's Danny Danon.
