Appeal Against Kafr Kassem Eviction Orders Rejected

The Central District Court in Lod rejected, Monday morning, appeals against a Magistrates Court decision in favor of the state's evicting squatters from state lands in the Israeli-Arab city of Kafr Kassem, east of Tel Aviv. The court ruled that the state acted in accordance with the law and judicial decisions with no defects.

The district-court decision strengthened the state's position that the lands are a public resource and there is a public interest in removing the illegal invaders for the purpose of marketing the land, in due course, to the general public.
