Egypt: Life of Detained Al Jazeera Journalist in Danger

Abdullah Elshamy, a journalist for Al Jazeera who was detained while covering the ongoing unrest in Egypt and has been on a hunger strike for 111 days, is in danger and “could die within a matter of days,” it was reported on Sunday.

Egyptian media reported that Elshamy is suffering from anemia and kidney disfunction.
