Swiss Museum Inherits Jewish Art Stolen By Nazis

The Kunst Museum in Bern, Switzerland claims that it has been contacted by the lawyer of the late Cornelius Gurlitt, suspected of possessing thousands of Jewish artwork stolen by the Nazis, announcing that the museum is the sole heir of the art collection.

Gurlitt passed away this week at the age of 81. German authorities continue to investigate whether the art pieces were indeed stolen by the Nazis during World War Two.
