Syria: Rebels Being Removed From Homs at Part of Ceasefire

The Syrian government announced that it has begun to evacuate rebel forces from the city of Homs as part of the ceasefire agreement between the two sides. Human rights activists reported that five buses arrived in the city’s center for just that purpose.

Many neighborhoods in the center of Homs were besieged by the government this past year, which caused much hunger and many skirmishes with the rebel forces.
