Yitzhar to Danino: Stop Harassing Us

The leaders of the community of Yitzhar sent a strongly worded letter to Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino on Tuesday, in which they said that the police are harassing residents of Yitzhar, most of whom are law-abiding citizens who oppose all violence.

"Many residents feel frustrated by the ineffectiveness of the system against real incidents of terrorism that occur every day by our Arab enemies: rock throwing, firebombing and sometimes even shooting attacks,” they wrote. “In contrast, when it comes to the so-called ‘outlaws’ of  Yitzhar, the system can allocate the best resources and take radical steps - taking over a house of study, establishing of a new police station and assigning large numbers of forces to our community.”
