Yen, Euro Up - Shekel, Dollars, Pound Down

The official value of the shekel declined an average of .134 percent, Monday, against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.458, no change from Friday's rate, while the Euro rose .157 percent to 4.7983 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.835 shekels, down .098 percent while 100 Japanese yen rose .566 percent to NIS 3.3929. The Australian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.2071, up .022 percent, while its Canadian counterpart edged up .006 percent to 3.1537 shekels and the South African rand was set at .33 shekels, up .334 percent.
