PM Shares Grief with Other Bereaved

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who lost his brother in Israel's rescue of hijack captives in 1976, shared his grief with other bereaved relatives in observing Israel's Memorial Day for fallen soldiers and those who died before the state was founded.

He noted that his parents were never the same after that, but said that life must go on and people must become active and make contributions, aware that their loved ones fell on behalf of the state and its residents, to protect them from the massive bloodshed of the sort being witnessed in Syria. He saluted Miriam Peretz, who lost two sons, who will be lighting one of the torches to initiate Independence Day, Monday evening.
