Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange scored modest gains on Thursday to end the trading week. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,251.37, up .05 percent, while the TA 100 edged up .07 percent to 1,251.94; the same percentage increase meaning a posting of 1,379.88 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,059.29, down .28 percent.
Leading the gainers was most of the technology index, which rose six tenths of a percent to 334.88, while the biomed issues ended the day at 1,008.90, down .94 percent. The communications stocks advanced .47 percent to 812.51 while the oil and natural-gas index closed at 1,347.81, up .19 percent. The financial institutions finished the day unchanged at 1,257.32; the bank component gaining .16 percent to 1,298.33 and the insurance issues standing at 1,477.61, up a tenth of a percent. The real-estate issues declined .46 percent to 391.75.
