Violent Bacteria Infects Tel Hashomer NICU

A particularly vicious strain of bacteria was discovered in Tel Hashomer’s Sheba Hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit. The bacteria, a strain of CRE EBSL is resistant to many forms of antibiotics existing in the world.

The preemies affected by the bacteria were moved into isolation out of fear of mass contagion. The hospital announced that all infants are in good condition and that the NICU has not been closed down.

The hospital reported the event to the Ministry of Health.
