US Unfazed By Cancellation of 1 Meeting

The United States Foreign Ministry responded last night (Tuesday) to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s decision to delay declarations of new building projects in Judea and Samaria, as reported yesterday on IDF Radio.

State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki was asked to respond to the decision and said, “The many building declarations that Israel has made while negotiating with the Palestinian Authority have certainly caused significant difficulties within the talks. If those declarations would stop, it would be a step in the right direction.” When asked to relate to Netanyahu’s decision to delay the talks, Psaki said that she has no intention of ascribing importance to the delaying of a single meeting.
