OPCW to Examine Reports of Chlorine Gas Used in Syria

The Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) will deploy an investigative staff to Syria for the purpose of examining recent reports of the country’s use of chlorine gas against its citizens. Syria has approved of the investigation.

Reports of use of chlorine gas emanated from Syria’s opposition who blamed Assad for using poisonous gases against the country’ citizens. Assad’s government has denied all allegations.
