Maccabi Tel Aviv Yellow in Memory of Holocaust Victims

Chief Executive Officer Dan Federman, one of the owners of the Maccabi Tel Aviv sports teams, issued a statement, Monday, to remind people of the significance of the team's yellow uniforms.

Noting that the team wore blue and white until the beginning of the 1940s, they switched the white to yellow as as a sign of solidarity with the Jews of Europe who were persecuted by the Nazis and forced to wear a yellow star. The yellow became a trade mark of the team.
