A two-minute siren at 10:00 a.m. will initiate Monday's observance of Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and President Shim'on Peres will be among the public figures returning to the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial museum in Jerusalem. At the same time, wreaths will be laid at the foot of the memorial to the Warsaw Ghetto revolt.
Half an hour later, the annual "Everyone has a name" reading of the names of the six million victims is scheduled to start at the memorial tent on the Yad Vashem grounds, where the central memorial service is scheduled for 13:00. The day's events will be capped off by the annual presentation in the outdoor theater of the Ghetto Fighters' Kibbutz, between Akko and Nahariya in the western Galilee, starting at 19:45.
