Economic Indicators Up .1% in March

Israel's index of leading economic indicators rose a tenth of a percent in March, according to figures released by the Bank of Israel on Sunday. The bank said the rise was slightly below the average for the last half year.

The main contributors to the increase were industrial output, imports of raw materials for industry, exported services and new job openings. This was tempered by a sharp drop in the export of goods, fewer imports of consumer goods, and a continued decrease in construction starts.
