Government to Approve Holocaust Survivor Aid Program

The Israeli government is slated to approve a program to aid Holocaust survivors later today (Sunday), to be budgeted at approximately 1 billion shekels.

The program will include free medications, increased pensions, a grant for dental care and the likening of conditions between those survivors who immigrated to Israeli before and after 1953.

Roughly 50 thousand survivors currently live under the poverty line according to theHolocaust Survivors Welfare Fund.
