Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Friday that Russia wanted to start a third world war, according to Reuters. In a live broadcast of an interim cabinet meeting, he said, "Attempts at military conflict in Ukraine will lead to a military conflict in Europe." Yatsenyuk added, "The world has not yet forgotten World War Two, but Russia already wants to start World War Three."
On Thursday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Deshchytisa said his country would fight Russia if it invaded. Both officials were responding to a Russian military buildup along the border.
