1.5 million travelers visited Israel’s nature reserves and national parks over the Passover holiday. This is a sharp rise in the amount of travelers visiting the sites in comparison with last year’s holiday season. Water-filled sites proved to be the most frequented attractions of the holiday.
Shmulik Hazan, Manager of the Golan Heights Tourism Department, is proud of the great amount of travelers who visited the region. He mentioned that most flocked to the area surrounding the Sea of Galilee.
