Report: US Mulls 'Game Changer' Arms for Syrian Rebels

The administration of United States President Barack Obama is considering arming Syrian rebels with shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, according to a Monday report by TIME magazine. The missiles are capable of bringing down helicopters and low-flying airplanes.

An Arab official agrees with the rebels that the weapon could be a "game changer", reversing a recent claim that forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad have the upper hand in the civil war.
