Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened Tuesday trading with moderate gains. Around noon, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,274.11, up 1.05 percent, while the TA 100 climbed 1.01 percent to 1,274.65, including a gain of .77 percent to 1,399.70 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,082.63, up .97 percent.
Leading the gainers was the biomed index, which jumped 3.07 percent to 1,042.27, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 347.19, up 1.49 percent. The bank stocks rose .78 percent to 1,313.68 as the financial institutions stood at 1,290.29, up .59 percent, tempered by the insurance index's loss of two tenths of a percent. The real-estate index stood at 398.96, up .46 percent, while the oil and natural-gas issues advanced .23 percent to 1,348.83, and the communications stocks slipped .01 percent to 815.13.
