Deri Maintains Bennett Won't Quit

Chairman Aryeh Deri of the Sephardic-hareidi Shas party said, Tuesday, that Israel's ruling coalition will remain stable and Chairman Naftali Bennett of the Jewish Home party will not follow through on a threat made two weeks ago to quit the government if Israel releases security prisoners with Israeli citizenship. Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Deri said, "They will find a wording for Israeli Arabs [that Bennett can live with] if there will even be an agreement."

Asked about the possibility of Shas entering the government, Deri said feelers have not been put out because it's not practical.
