Restrictions on Muslims on Temple Mount Friday

Following intelligence information received by Jerusalem police on plans by Muslim visitors to the Temple Mount to disrupt the public order at the end of their Friday prayers, police have decided to only allow Muslim men over the age of 50, and women of any age with blue teudot zehut (identification cards), held by Israeli citizens and residents, to be allowed in.

Police are deployed around the Temple Mount and in alleys and entrances to the Old City to preserve order.
