The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest to moderate losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,261.23, down .62 percent, while the TA 100 declined .67 percent to 1,261.85, including a drop of .79 percent to 1,389.02 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,072.19, down .15 percent.
Worst hit was the communications index, which fell 1.92 percent to 815.21, while the biomed issues stood at 1,011.21, down 1.5 percent and the rest of the technology stocks slipped .22 percent to 342.08. The bank index stood at 1,303.52, down 1.23 percent, as the financial institutions fell 1.02 percent to 1,282.69, including a loss of .84 percent to 1,558.92 by the insurance issues. The oil and natural-gas stocks stood at 1,345.75, down .63 percent, and the real-estate index closed at 397.14, down .31 percent.
