More than 10,000 people came during the day on Wednesday to various locations through the Gush Etzion region. The Gush Etzion Department of Tourism stated it was a record number of visitors. Oh particular interest was Haritun Cave near Mount Herodion.
Davidi Pearl, head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council stated, "it is remarkable how consistently during Passover the number of tourists are steadily rising." Israel is "voting with its feet," he added, "declaring Gush Etzion an Israeli home."
