Traffic on the Roads: Police Ask Not to Stop on Shoulders

Following the death of 5 people in motor vehicle accidents over the past 2 days, the National Traffic Police published guidelines and points of emphasis for driving in the heavy traffic expected for today (Wednesday) throughout the country.

The police request that drivers avoid stopping along the highway’s shoulders. Should an emergency arise, drivers should make an effort to drive until a security inlet can be reached. Then, the driver should park, exit the vehicle and wait behind the security barricade until help can arrive.
