Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. The leaders discussed current issues in bilateral cooperation and on the international agenda, including progress in talks on the Iranian nuclear program.
On Netanyahu’s request, Putin provided an assessment of the processes occurring in Ukraine. The Russian president pointed out that the sharp escalation of the crisis is the result of Kiev’s irresponsible policy, which disregards the lawful rights and interests of the country.
The leaders agreed to continue regular exchanges of opinion on issues of mutual interest.
