Passover in Russia Despite Crimea Tension

Thousands of Jewish residents of Russia prepared for the Passover holiday night despite the tension regarding Crimea, Ukraine and other political uncertainties.

In the capital city of Moscow the selling of chametz ceremony and other preparations took place in the office of Chief Rabbi of Rabbi Berel Lazar followed by the burning of leavened bread in the central courtyard of the Marina Roscha Synagogue and Jewish Community Center.
