Iran Reconsidering Appointment of Ambassador to UN

Tehran is reconsidering its appointment of its choice for Ambassador to the UN. This was reported to the London-based ‘Asharq Alawsat.’  Newspaper this morning (Sunday).

Iranian sources revealed that deliberations are taking place regarding the appointment of a replacement for Hamid Aboutalebi following the US’s refusal to grant him a visa due to his alleged involvement in the 1979 terror attack against the American Embassy in Tehran.
