Shekel, Euro, Pound Up - Dollars, Yen Down

The official value of the shekel rose an average of .156 percent, Friday against most of the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.461, down .173 percent from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .06 percent to 4.81 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.8091 shekels, down .079 percent, while 100 Japanese yen declined .261 percent to NIS 3.4. The Canadian dollar was fixed at NIS 3.166, down .531 percent, while its Australian counterpart fell .533 percent to 3.2484 shekels, and the South African rand was set at .3314 shekels, down .749 percent.
