Odessa Jews Prepare for Passover Despite Anti-Semitism

Rabbi Avraham Wolf of the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa said, Thursday, that the 50,000-member Jewish community was preparing for next week's Passover holiday and would not let any provocation, including anti-Semitism distract it. At the same time, he said that the community was devoting many resources to security and was in contact with security forces.

Rabbi Wolf's words came against the backdrop of anti-Jewish graffiti on dozens of buildings and media incitement against Jewish businessmen. He said a check of things indicated they were the result of outside agitation.
